Our Summit, WA technicians are trained specifically in Stachybotrys protocol, not just general surface mold removal scaled up.
We built this service around the health stakes involved — families searching for answers about respiratory symptoms, buyers wary of a flagged inspection report, landlords facing a tenant complaint.
What sets our Black Mold Removal crew apart in Summit.
Our Summit crews wear full-face respirators and disposable suits on every black mold job, not just gloves and a mask. Every technician on a toxigenic job has completed specialized containment training beyond standard certification.
Negative air machines and sealed plastic barriers keep spores from spreading beyond the contaminated area during removal. We log air quality readings throughout the Summit job, not just at the start and end.

Active toxigenic mold discovery gets priority scheduling in Summit, often same-day. We log air quality readings throughout the Summit job, not just at the start and end.
Every Summit job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
Before full containment begins, we confirm species through sampling, since not all black-colored mold is actually Stachybotrys.
Heavy plastic sheeting and negative air pressure isolate the contaminated zone before any material is disturbed.
Industrial air scrubbers run continuously through the job, filtering contaminated air before it can spread.
Porous materials with active toxigenic growth — drywall, insulation, carpet padding — typically can't be salvaged and get removed per protocol.
We recommend a third-party lab handle clearance testing for objectivity on a job this serious.
Reoccupancy guidance is based on lab results, not a visual check alone.

The questions we hear most about toxigenic mold.
Stachybotrys chartarum specifically has been linked to respiratory symptoms in some occupants, especially with prolonged exposure.
For extensive contamination, we may recommend temporary relocation, especially for anyone with respiratory sensitivity.
Toxigenic mold protocol requires stricter PPE, full containment, and independent clearance testing that standard surface mold removal doesn't always need.
Visual color alone isn't reliable — several mold species and even some dirt or mildew look similarly dark.
Coverage depends on your policy and the underlying cause of the moisture, so it's worth a call to your insurer.
